The Basics of Effective School-Home Communication

This dynamic, one-hour workshop is the perfect fit for a staff meeting or district-led professional development. Patricia will “Zoom” in to share practical tips, tools, and techniques your team can put into practice immediately to strengthen communication with families. The session is not a “sit and get.” It’s interactive, full of activities, and engaging. Your staff will leave with a better understanding of why school-home communication is at the heart of effective family engagement, and they’ll take home Patricia’s School-Home Communication Self-Assessment that they can use to see how their communications measure up. After the session, your staff and your district will never look at school-home communication the same.

Analyze examples as they learn to recognize and identify effective and ineffective communication.
